Lee yes and almond. Gene, I can say for sure.
Breakfast is available all day.
Only service animals inside. They do have a number of streetside tables where dogs are permitted.

It's okay, I survived the harrowing experience.
Behind the building is a small lot the only way to it is the small alley next to the building
Aptly located brunch place near university heart. Food tasted great, although it was not served hot. By the time it made it to the table, it was warm/cold. Coffee selection is good. Large seating area and less wait times raise the rating. Vegetarians options are available and gel good with the coffee.
I love this place! So glad you are back open! Here's my Fishy and my Horchata :)
This place is the BEST! Definitely my favorite spot in this area of Nashville. I love the vibe in here. The food is INCREDIBLE! The prices look intimidating for a spot like this but trust me, the portions are LARGE and the food is WORTH IT! I’ve had high end business meetings here as well as brunch dates with my two little kids. They love their pancakes! I am hooked on the chilequiles (sp?). Not a bad cappuccino but I really dig their drip coffee! They operate on the honesty system for refills, throw a dollar in the jar and refill it yourself. This place is just way cool. Open late too which is super helpful. Anyway, I love this place.
Nice place to eat, food came quickly and was well prepared. Affordable and clean. Fist time ever eating here, I would recommend to friends. (:
Nice coffee shop located near Vanderbilt. The food is pretty good. Coffee is well done with a variety of choices. Not exceptional, but a Nashville staple.
Local spot in trendy neighborhood. Long lines usually but service is fast. Staff is friendly and food is consistently on point. Cool spot to grab a bite on your own or with friends. Parking in the back is convenient and usually easy to access.Edit (response to owner)The only gripe I have is the long lines. Having an option for table service at this location would be amazing. I have never had anything less than stellar off of the menu and will continue frequenting Fido as long as I’m in Nashville.
Busy place, but the line moves fast. Great alternative to the other two big guys around the corner.Food was great. Coffee was strong. Can't ask for more.
Great atmosphere and good food. Fish (catfish) tacos were juicy and seasoned to perfection. Grab a coffee on the way out and enjoy the surrounding shops.
Pretty good breakfast / brunch food options. Drink choices - coffees, ciders, etc. - were incredibly good. Service is pretty slow. It took about 45 minutes from arrival time to have food and drinks with waiting in line (which did move pretty quick), ordering, and waiting for food to be brought to the table. It was also a little pricey for what you’re getting.
I am very critical of burgers, not in a snobbish kind of way, but I enjoy a well put together burger. Let me tell you - wow!! The grass fed beef/lamb combination is spectacular. When topped with the white cheddar, fig aioli, red onion and pickle, Fido has crafted the #1 best burger in Nashville IMO. Oh, don’t get me started on the fries - you won’t be disappointed. Keep doing you Fido - Bravo.
Smoked salmon scrambler and the Local latte. Dog friendly outside. Was great! Went on a Sunday. Very long line but worth it
Good food that is familiar but just a little different than the usual, which is refreshing, and delicious cafe drinks as well. My favorites so far are the Southern Grits bowl and the chia pudding; great flavors! Plenty of seating. Things are usually right on par with service and order correctness. The line can be long at times, but it's worth it. They have some free 90 min parking in back (not much cost after).
I always thought this was just a coffee shop, but they have one of the best burgers in town. The mix of lamb and beef is extremely flavorful, and the toppings only add to it. The fries are also amazing, and are served with a garlic aioili that is hard to put down. I will definitely be back!
Way too expensive. And the owner, Bob Bernstein has a problem. He does not like competition so he does everything he can to denouce nearby restaurants and really ticked off that a New Orleans style Breakfast Restaurant is going to be in Hillsboro close to Bob's business. He has a bad attitude. And he can't even make a good burger anymore. Here's for competition.
I chose this restaurant because the reviews stated they had lots of gluten free options. Including gluten free pancakes. They no longer carry those. I was very disappointed. I had a salad with some salmon on it and it was very good.
Fast and healthy breakfast. I really like their home fries and they have a pretty good selection of teas. Went on a Monday morning and it wasn't crowded at all. Be careful parking out back though; be sure to get your parking ticket for your dash. (free parking for the first 90 minutes)
Fido is my favorite cafe in Nashville. It has a casual and hospitable environment. Fido has scrumptious dishes with authentic taste. The meals look good as they taste. I would recommend Fido to anyone living in Nashville and those who are visiting Nashville.
This place is incredible! It's great for brunch, a date, or just spending time studying. Plenty of sitting options and menu choices. The food is tasty. The coffee is wonderful. Went here for brunch and then spent the next few hours studying. Highly recommend!
One of my favorite coffee haunts in Nashville. Always try a seasonal specialty latte and i highly recommend the berry pancakes and the Italian breakfast. 👍
I absolutely love fido food and I gladly drive 30 minutes from Robertson county to get breakfast, however I was really disappointed when I called today and the voicemail said “yes we are open again” and then I got there and the lights are off and the doors are locked. It didn’t even appear as if I could do take out.
Coffee is good; it had a bold flavor. The ordering situation is a bit chaotic, because half the people in line were not ordering, they were loitering in front of the counter. When ordering, if vegan, they have a filling, yet healthy pudding, only. The service staff said that some things on the menu could be made vegan, but when I asked which they could not tell me. Overall, a hip atmosphere, but not a lot of vegan options, and the ordering process could use a revamp.
Hmmm i thought it would be much better. I had what the waiter recommended but in fact it was the most expensive item on the menu and not good :-(. Coffee wasn’t the best either. Didn’t taste much like coffee. Service was very quick.
I was incredibly happy with my experience at Fido. The service was pretty quick, significantly better than some of the surrounding places. My group enjoyed Pete's Breakfast and the Steak Scramble, both of which were delicious! We also ordered a sweet potato muffin which was exceptionally good as well. The atmosphere was very nice and we loved the decor. Overall a great place for breakfast and for coffee!
Fido is a staple of Hillsboro and never disappoints. I always love the roasted sweet potatoes with horseradish sauce, and every entree I've had is delicious and well made. Great, unique selection of drinks and breakfast all day!
We love Fido!! I discovered this place many years ago while working in a studio on Music Row.. The most convenient thing about Fido is that they’re open late.. They have a great menu and serve breakfast all day.. Their specials are creative and delicious.. They have amazing specialty coffees and teas and great deserts, including some vegan options.. The staff here is generally helpful and friendly.. You can definitely expect a long line on the weekends for brunch but the tables turn over quickly so its definitely worth it.. All in all, this is easily one of my favorite places in Nashville for consistent comfort food..
Cute restaurant with a very cool, laid back vibe. Even though it was super busy on a Sunday morning we got our food fast! Definitely recommend going before 10AM on a weekend for breakfast because after that the line went out the door. Great selection of coffee and tea, too. I got the Huevos Rancheros and they were fantastic. A little more potato-heavy than I am used to but still really good. Family friendly and staff was great.
I ordered the Pork + Greens, which comes with “bongo organic coffee braised pork belly, sun dried tomatoes, green onions, herb cream cheese, and spinach served with breakfast potatoes + toast”. I was brought the Village Scramble, but when I told the waiter that this was not what I ordered, he insisted that my plate was correct, even though the pork and greens says it doesn’t come with eggs and there was no meat on my plate. They finally brought me the correct plate, which tasted great, but had no sun dried tomatoes and had eggs in it. If this plate comes with eggs, fine, but they need to put it on the menu. What if I was allergic or didn’t eat eggs? This is a lawsuit waiting to happen.
Awesome place. Fresh food made to order, creative, and delicious. Lots of seating and they serve breakfast all day. Alot of coffee and tea drinks and beer and wine!
One of the best breakfast places in Nashville. Always crowdy. Lots of options and best tastes. I love it.
My friend and I went there for some lattes and we loved the customer service. Friendly, fast and what can we say about our lovely lattes!? Delicious! 😍😍😍 Mine was a Matcha with a little bit of honey 🤗
I absolutely love this place! Though the lines can be horrendous the food is worth it. I always enjoy the Bubba Scramble with a local latte 💘
This was definitely a little pricey but wow was it tasty. The entire menu is incredibly innovative with such tasty breakfast options and excellent coffee. The atmosphere is wonderful with ample seating and speedy and friendly service, even on a busy morning. Parking was a little tricky but the restaurant itself is a place I would absolutely recommend!
Nice place for breakfast/brunch. We came on a weekend and it was PACKED. I mean, the line was going out the door. But we decided to wait and glad we did because the line moved pretty quick. Our food did not take long to arrive and it was delicious! I had whatever their special on the board was and it was yummy. Also had bites of my friend's breakfast pizza. So good! Looking at the photos I took again and my mouth is watering lol.We are not from Nashville but will definitely be visiting again if/when we come back!
I can honestly say I'm horrified and deeply angered by the treatment the floor & kitchen staff have to put up with from a person I believe to be either their general manager or director of some sort (tall woman, blondish hair). On one or two visits, I have unintentionally overheard loud conversations of a cruel and belittling nature from this manager towards the staff (yes, even through the kitchen door, we can all hear you). Though it's been many a year since my own food/beverage days, I know exactly how entitled and power-hungry managers can become. This person needs to get their act together or find a new vocation, her behavior is wildly uncalled for and demeaning. That being said, I love the staff themselves, from those on the front floor to those in the kitchen; you all always make for a great day and a great dish/cup.
Great food, fair service, long wait, and menu items have changed. Everyone in my group of six absolutely enjoyed their meal. Each dish was freshly prepared with quality ingredients and a delicious appearance. The food was excellent once we got it. Items on the Fido website menu, Google maps menu, and the big menu on the wall are no longer available. I suggest finding a menu to order from or be disappointed after a long wait to realize what you have been waiting for is something of the past. Expect a wait at peak times.
Great breakfast and fun seasonal drinks!
Fido does not disappoint and only gets better over the years. Fido’s Chilaquiles are truly the best I have ever had in my LIFE. Delicious, unique, and a little spicy.Worth the pain in the rear parking in Hillsboro Village for this dish.
Went to Fido for the first and last time today. I walked up to the counter and the two ladies behind the counter continued to have a conversation for a good 5 minutes laughing and joking around before even acknowledging that I was there (they knew I was standing there, I made direct eye contact with one of them.) She was then extremely rude asking what we wanted (without giving us menus, and no menu was written anywhere else). Then I ordered the Brie LT & now a few hours later I have wicked food poisoning. Save yourself the trouble and don’t go here!! This is the first bad review I’ve ever written, but the service was so horrible I felt the need to say something.
Fido has some delicious food Ya’ll! Make sure to get the sweet potato fries! It comes with some delish dipping sauce! The Chilaquiles are phenomenal!
The food here is amazing!!! 100% recommend. Also the fries are on a whole different planet!!
Consistently really good coffee and the food options are always good. Lots of room to sit and talk or work. Free refills on brewed coffee is a plus. Pastry and cake options are top notch. My only gripe is there's no specialty brewed coffee options.
The line was long but we only waited about 5 minutes to order and another 10 to get our food. The best egg benedict I have ever had. There is also convenient $3 parking located right behind the restaurant.
Really delicious food. Had a special which was a twist on Eggs Benedict served over polenta squares that was to die for! The wait was very long so not a good place for a quick bite or coffee. But definitely worth it to come and stay for a while.
Love this place! Great service, delicious food and drinks, and a wonderful atmosphere. Pictured is the salmon, caper, cream cheese scramble and the “local latte”. Both were delicious and I would highly recommend trying the local latte, it doesn’t even have coffee in it!! Amazing place, when you’re in the area you have to go here.
One of the tastiest breakfasts I've enjoyed in a long time. Tremendous, not over done breve as well!
This is a bit odd reviewing a place where you you used to look at dogs in the window as a kid. Service was awesome. The local burger was overcooked and a bit salty. The smoke flavor was awesome. The blacked eyed peas and pork was a cool concept. Very southern. But overseasand. A salt lick. Chance of coming back 30℅. Too many other great places on the village.
Amazing cauliflower burger and homemade French fries! One of the greatest vegetarian burgers I ever had so far!
A popular, quality, rustic-style cafe/restaurant to get any sort of meal, from breakfast, to lunch, to dinner. You can buy anything from pancakes with country ham to burgers with a side of fries, and a slice of cake for dessert. They also have a variety of coffees and desserts, if you aren't hungry. A good place to gather casually, or work. Fido is a must for visitors to Nashville, and a regular for Vanderbilt college students. You can also come here if you are just looking to get a quick bite.
Great casual location particularly if you need a get away close to Vanderbilt hospital. Breakfast available all day and delicious healthy /yummy lunch food as well.
Baked cheese grit, kinda like savory oatmeal, I like it
